Gaga to launch Born This Way Foundation at Harvard, with Oprah

by Eric Van Dril

Lady Gaga will kick off her Born This Way Foundation at an event at Harvard University this week, and she’s recruited Oprah, among others, to speak at the event. The event will take place on Wednesday at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.

Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation was announced in November, 2011, and is named after the singer’s 2011 smash hit. Her foundation will address, according to Boston.com, issues likeĀ  “self-confidence, well-being anti-bullying, mentoring and career development through research, education and advocacy.”

BTWF has partnered with The Berkman Center at Harvard, the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and The California Endowment in the attempt to continue bettering the lives of the world’s youth and help get out a positive message about individuality, among many other things.
